The World Number 1 Novak Djokovic is bidding to become a French Open champion as he starts the Monte Carlo Masters where he will attempt to bring an end to the World Number 2 Rafael Nadal's dominance on clay. Nadal has won every Monte Carlo Masters tournament since 2005 and has gone on to win every French Open other than in 2009.
