This is not a product review I was expecting to do, but my youngest sister bought me a pack of Sugarpova Gum for Christmas. The flavor is called “Sporty” (a lemon-lime flavored gum). Here is a link to the product. Here is my full review:
Taste: A- This is pretty good lemon-lime gum.
Appearance: A The gum is the shape of tennis balls. As a tennis player/fan I must say the gum looks cool.
Texture: B- The gum is not great for bubbles and loses some structural consistency after a few minutes of chewing.
Flavor: B The gum loses its flavor after 5-10 minutes.
Overall Grade: B+ For novelty purposes, a bag of this gum would look cool amid other tennis memorabilia. As gum itself, it is pretty good, but my hunch is that the coating used to make the gum look like tennis balls contributes to the loss of flavor and texture. Also, the gum is likely more expensive than similar quality lemon-lime gum due to cost of making tennis ball shaped gum. It makes a good gift for a tennis fan, but if one is a regular consumer of gum, it is likely a bit expensive as a daily gum.
If you leave the bag open for a day, the gum turns hard as rocks!
