Predicted Winners in BOLD
Novak Djokovic (1) vs. John Isner - Novak should win this match. If Isner holds with great frequency he always has a puncher’s chance, but I think Novak’s return game generates at least one break per set.
Juan Martin del Potro (7) vs. Dmitry Tursunov - The Russian has earned a lot of computer points that should serve him well over the next 52 weeks, but JMDP is likely to advance.
Andy Murray (2) vs. Tomas Berdych (6) – Berdych was awesome yesterday. This rematch of the 2012 US Open semifinal will likely go to Murray, but this is probably the closest to a 50-50 match today.
Rafael Nadal (4) vs. Roger Federer (5) – Federer will have to play at a much better level than he has achieved as of late to make this interesting. Obviously, the surface is better for Roger than what he found at Indian Wells and Rome this year vs. Rafa. Still, the 5 time Cincinnati champion is likely to have to wait until 2014 to win a 6th.
