Projected winner in BOLD

Janko Tipsarevic (10) vs. David Nalbandian– This is an interesting match, but I think Nalbandian’s ability to change the direction of the ball during a rally will be the difference.

Alexandr Dolgopolov (21) vs. Marcos Baghdatis -This could go either way, but I am picking young legs to win a tight match.

Nikolay Davydenko vs. Thomaz Bellucci – I love Bellucci’s game, but I think the Russian prevails.

David Ferrer (5) vs. Denis Istomin – Ferrer is quietly having a great 2012.  I think it gets less quiet as he keeps winning.

Rafael Nadal (2) vs. Marcel Granollers (26) – Mark it down as Rafa will advance.

Roger Federer (3) vs. Milos Raonic (27) – Raonic has a server’s chance.  He can maybe do what Isner did in Davis Cup, but the odds are Roger wins.

Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (6) vs. Radek Stepanek (28) – Stepanek is a nice story, but if Tsonga plays well he should win.

Juan Martin del Potro (9) vs. Fernando Verdasco (19) – I think Delpo is too steady and steely to lose unless this becomes a match about movement.
