Semifinals

Samantha Stosur (2) vs. Serena Williams (5) – Stosur’s wins over Serena at the 2011 US Open and 2010 French Open prove she can beat Serena.  If this were Roland Garros, I’d pick Stosur at this stage as Serena is not overly match tough and the situation may impact the result.  However, this seems like a low stress match, and I’ll take Serena.

Lucie Safarova (9) vs. Polona Hercog (14) – I am going to take the lefty in this encounter.

      Serena at this stage of rusty play – by May/June I’d pick Serena
