Projected Winners in BOLD

Mikhail Youzhny (20) vs. Viktor Troicki – Youzhny is slightly more likely to win a very tough match to predict.

Jurgen Melzer vs. Sergiy Stakhovsky – Once again, this is hard to predict, but I’ll take Melzer.

Ernests Gulbis vs. Fernando Verdasco – This match is like a random number generator.  There is no way to even guess what it will look like.

Adrian Mannarino vs. Dustin Brown – Brown is making waves, and I hope he continues to do so for at least one more round.

Benoit Paire (25) vs. Lukasz Kubot – Paire is playing well in 2013.

Juan Monaco (22) vs. Kenny De Schepper – This is not Monaco’s best surface, but it is a winnable match.

Andy Murray (2) vs. Tommy Robredo (32) – Murray should win against the Spanish veteran.

Nicolas Almagro (15) vs. Jerzy Janowicz (24) – Both players have a huge opportunity with Fedal out of the event.  Jerzy can continue to build on the momentum he started last fall.  Almagro can get some of the bad taste of the Australian Open out of his head.  This is a 50-50 type match, but I’ll take Jerzy to win in a mild upset.
