Serena Williams (1) vs. Sorana Cirstea

Serena Williams is having an outstanding 2013 and a win here would only add to that narrative.  Still, if she does not win the US Open while dominating the other tour events to this degree may seem like a lesser result than it actually is.  Serena has been imposing throughout the year.  Cirstea is playing well and I would like her chances against just about anyone in her current form.  Beating Serena seems less likely.  First, there is a mental hill to climb before playing Serena.  Second, Serena’s game is sharp.  Therefore, I predict Serena to win 6-4, 6-2.
