Predicted Winners in BOLD
Quarterfinals
Novak Djokovic (1) vs. John Isner – Novak should win this match. If Isner holds with great frequency he always has a puncher’s chance, but I think Novak’s return game generates at least one break per set.
Juan Martin del Potro (7) vs. Dmitry Tursunov – The Russian has earned a lot of computer points that should serve him well over the next 52 weeks, but JMDP is likely to advance.
Andy Murray (2) vs. Tomas Berdych (6) – Berdych was awesome yesterday. This rematch of the 2012 US Open semifinal will likely go to Murray, but this is probably the closest to a 50-50 match today.
Rafael Nadal (4) vs. Roger Federer (5) – Federer will have to play at a much better level than he has achieved as of late to make this interesting. Obviously, the surface is better for Roger than what he found at Indian Wells and Rome this year vs. Rafa. Still, the 5 time Cincinnati champion is likely to have to wait until 2014 to win a 6th.

So Dan, making good use of that press pass? We’re all waiting for the inside scoop!
I only had press credentials through August 12 because my job started back on the 13th. So I am going to upload the pics I took (I am a terrible photographer) and write up my general impressions when the kids give me a moment to breath.
I hear ya, brother man, and I’ve only got the one!
Anyway, no rush. Was Wertheim on site?
Wertheim was not there. He has moved up the SI food chain and still does the mailbag but does less and less tennis traveling is what I was told.
