Murray made history yesterday once again, taking Britain through to the quarters of the world group for the first time since 1986, and finishing off victory over the Americans for the first time since 1935. The Brit proved why he is a double grand slam winner in a grueling 3 hour match where he had to cope with several Querrey purple patches. The American, at some points in the match, was pinging the ball from corner to corner for fun. He had the demeanor of a man out to prove a point after going down to James Ward, and in the first two sets it had the desired effect.
