[2] Roger Federer (SUI) vs. Alejandro Falla (COL)

Roger leads their head-to-head meeting 6-0 and 4 of these matches have been on grass.  That along with Federer winning Halle 2003-2006, 2008 and 2013 make him a heavy favorite. Falla did win the first two sets of their 2010 Wimbledon first round tilt.  Falla also took a set off of Federer at the 2012 Olympic games.   Falla should not be in awe as Wimbledon and the Olympics are bigger venues and events than Halle.  Also, the only sets Falla has won in their 6 meetings have come in their two most recent matches.  I think Falla’s hustle and topspin could upend Federer if errors sneak into his game.  Still, I predict Federer to win his 7th Halle title and 14th grass court title 6-3, 7-5.
