Predicted Winners in BOLD
Sam Groth (AUS) vs. Roger Federer (SUI) [2] – I will just say I like Federer’s chances.
I. Karlovic vs. M. Granollers – This is a hard one to predict. Granollers is a solid player, but Karlovic has reached 4 finals this year and has a serve that will keep every set close. Tiebreakers will likely tell the tale. In that case, I pick the big man.
T. Gabashvili vs. A. Kudryavtsev
15 F. Fognini vs. A. Mannarino
6 T. Berdych vs. M. Klizan – Another tough match for Berdych, but he should come through.
26 G. Simon vs. F. Delbonis – Simon will find a way.
4 D. Ferrer vs. B. Tomic – Tomic can beat Ferrer, but Ferrer is so mentally tough that I expect him to outlast Tomic.
17 R. Bautista Agut vs. T. Smyczek – Agut’s solid 2014 will continue.
32 J. Sousa vs. D. Goffin – MATCH OF THE DAY ALERT If you have tickets, find a good seat and enjoy.
12 R. Gasquet vs. P. Lorenzi – Gasquet has not been near his 2013 form this year, but this is a winnable match.
7 G. Dimitrov vs. D. Sela – Dimitrov is in the softer half of the draw and could be playing deep into this event.
11 E. Gulbis vs. D. Thiem – If Gulbis and his live arm are dialed in, this could be a classic match. Thiem is young, but I think his level of focus is a little more reliable than Gulbis’.
20 G. Monfils vs. A. Gonzalez – La Monf FTW
19 F. Lopez vs. T. Ito – FLo has been very solid since Roland Garros included.
18 K. Anderson vs. J. Janowicz – Anderson is catching Jerzy at the wrong time.
14 M. Cilic vs. I. Marchenko
