Tennis Abides Celebrates a 3rd Birthday! Many Thanks

Dear readers,

I had dabbled in tennis writing when I decided to reach out to Tennis-X and I wrote for that site for several years.  I enjoyed my time writing there and am grateful for the opportunity I had to find more of my voice when covering and commenting on tennis.  During the 2011 US Open, I thought I should see what I could do on my own.  I started Dan Martin on Tennis and began writing about a US Open marked by Djokovic fending off two match points versus Roger Federer and then defeating Rafael Nadal in 4 sets while Sam Stosur shocked the world and beat Serena Williams.  I was glad to have struck out on my own, but I could not settle on a good name for my fledgling tennis site.

Three years later, I’ve had the good fortune to review some products, delve into tennis instruction (especially 10 and Under Tennis) and to cover professional tennis.  In November of 2011, I arrived at a good name for this site and Tennis Abides was born with a nod to The Big Lebowski.  I’ve enjoyed feedback from readers here and on twitter.  I’ve also loved seeing readers from across the globe on my analytics.  It is a lot of fun to share my interest in tennis with so many people.  Here’s to another 3 years!

Thanks for your support,

Dan
