1. Novak Djokovic got a good draw, but Wawrinka and he could contest an epic semifinal.
2. Roger Federer’s camp likely wanted Nole and Rafa to battle it out, but Rafa has a tricky first round match.
3. Jerzy Janowicz vs. Juan Martin del Potro is my favorite first round match on paper.  Each big man wants to grab some momentum after having lost status on tour for various reasons.
4. Dreddy vs. Dimitrov is my second favorite first round match on paper.
5. Kei Nishikori could also present Nole with a tough semifinal opponent (see New York 2014).
6. Rafa and Berdych should battle at the conclusion of a rather soft quarter of the draw.
7. Murray, Goffin, Kyrigos, and Dmitrov are all interesting players in Federer’s quarter, but Roger has not failed to reach the semis in Melbourne since 2003.  I think Federer plays through.
