Predicted Winners in BOLD

[9] Andrea Petkovic (GER) vs [14] Karolina Pliskova (CZE) – I have been a bit slow to join the bandwagon.  Still, Pliskova has a world class serve and is a talent to watch.  I think her serve and overall talent are headed toward big things.  Petkovic certainly can win and in some ways is a favorite in this match.  However, I think at some point I need to nod toward the future.

[12] Carla Suárez Navarro (ESP) vs [16] Venus Williams (USA) – CSN’s first big win came down under vs. Venus Williams.  I don’t see this as a repeat.  Venus is playing quite well in 2015.  If her health holds up, I think Venus wins this match in a fairly straightforward manner.
