Defending champion Djokovic continued his unbelievable season, with another final defeat to Roger Federer, besting the 33 year old in straight sets. Federer had beaten the Serbian in the Dubai Final, with Novak reversing the result in the Indian Wells Showpiece. But the World No1 was too slick and solid for Federer, in what was his 4th Masters title of 2015. Maria Sharapova’s live affair with Rome shone through, as she battled past Carla Suarez Navarro in a gruelling 3 setter. The Russian superstar now has 3 titles in Rome to her name, after also winning in 2011 & 12.
