Federer Sails Into Fourth Round

Roger Federer eased his way into the last 16 at Roland Garros with a 6-4 6-3 6-2 straight sets victory over Bosnian Damir Dzumhur.

The second seed is still to drop a set at this years tournament and has booked a place in the fourth round for an 11th successive year. Despite not being at his very best, he has still shown formidable form which has won him countless titles in the past.

Apart from a couple of occasions in the match, the Bosnian failed to really trouble Federer and on match point he hit a backhand into the net which sent the world number 2 into round 4.

Federer will now face off against hometown favourite Gaël Monfils for a place in the quarter finals. The 13th seed progressed with a five sets victory over Pablo Cuevas.
