My predictions yesterday were not particularly good.  I will get back on the horse here and try to right the ship by getting as many matches right as I can.

[1] Serena Williams (USA) vs [17] Sara Errani (ITA)

This is not a good match-up for Errani 

Serena Williams should win this match.  Errani has played a lot of great tennis in Paris over the past few years.  She scrambles well and has nice net skills.  Still, Errani lacks a lot of weapons and that means her only hope is Serena drowning in a flood of unforced errors.  I think Serena serves and returns well enough to put Errani on the defensive and wins a welcome straight set match.

My Prediction: Serena Williams d. Sara Errani 6-3, 6-2
