After battling in the dirt for two months, it’s finally time to kick some grass. Halle, previously a 250 tourney has been upgraded as an ATP 500 event.
The upgrade also means no first round byes for the top seeds and the business resumes right from Monday.
Gerry Weber Open has always been a major stop for top players. Roger Federer has been a regular feature and other star attractions like Tomas Berdych, Kei Nishikori, Gael Monfils alongside localites Tommy Haas and Philipp Kohlschreiber will be present to woo the attendees.
