- Kei Nishikori avenged his 2014 US Open loss by rallying from 1 set down vs. Marin Cilic to reach the DC final. He then avenged a 2015 loss to Isner in Miami by rallying from 1 set down to take a 500 level title and reclaim some momentum.

- Sloane Stephens won her first career title by winning Washington, DC. Sloane got her footing on tour back at Roland Garros and has played solid tennis heading into Toronto.
- Angelique Kerber won her 4th title of 2015. Her major results have not reflected her renewed winning spirit, but my guess is a workable draw will emerge in the next 3 or 4 majors for Angelique and she will be in a slam semifinal again.
- Phillipp Kohlschreiber won in Poland to end the clay court events prior to the US Open for 2015.
Kerber and Radwanska put on a great match for fans of tennis
