Predicted Winners in BOLD

Martin Klizan (SVK) vs. [WC] Ze Zhang (CHN) H2H – Klizan has a nice game so I think he wins one on the road so to speak.

[13] John Isner (USA) vs. Adrian Mannarino (FRA) H2H – The Big Guy obviously needs to let his serve dictate in order to win.

[16] Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA) vs. Tommy Robredo (ESP) H2H – Tsonga could make a lot of things happen in this fall season in order to build some momentum for 2016.  I love Robredo’s professionalism, but I do not love this match-up for the Spaniard.

[14] Marin Cilic (CRO) vs. [WC] Di Wu (CHN) H2H – Cilic won 5 matches in New York before a dominating Djokovic and hurt ankle ended his title reign.

Nick Kyrgios (AUS) vs. Andreas Haider-Maurer (AUT) H2H – This could go either way, but Kyrgios has more weapons so I will pick him.

Dominic Thiem (AUT) vs. [Q] Yen-Hsun Lu (TPE) H2H – Thiem has had a nice year.  He has not broken through yet, but he also has made incremental progress toward doing so.

[15] Feliciano Lopez (ESP) vs. [Q] Andrey Kuznetsov (RUS) H2H – Kuznetsov is match tough from qualifying so an upset is not out of the question.  Still, Lopez has been so sound over the past 2 years that I give him the nod.

Leonardo Mayer (ARG) vs. [WC] Yan Bai (CHN) H2H – Mayer is sneaky good.

Ivo Karlovic (CRO) vs. Jérémy Chardy (FRA) H2H – I would expect a lot of big hitting and at least 2 tiebreaks to be played.

Sam Querrey (USA) vs. [Q] Albert Ramos-Vinolas (ESP) H2H – The match toughness of qualifying produces an upset here in my mind.

Roberto Bautista Agut (ESP) vs. Guillermo Garcia-Lopez (ESP) H2H – Una guerra civil?

Victor Estrella Burgos (DOM) vs. [LL] Donald Young (USA) H2H – Young makes the lost of his lucky loser status and adds some points to his ranking.

Steve Johnson (USA) vs. Andreas Seppi (ITA) H2H – This should be fun.  I’d watch this match up close if I had a ticket.
