Sad news – Richard Gasquet has had more slam success in recent years than most of his career.
French star Richard Gasquet has withdrawn from the Australian Open due to a back injury.
The Frenchman is believed to have aggravated the injury playing in the IPTL and a car crash is also thought to have worsened the injury.
Gasquet’s withdrawal now mean that Kyle Edmund has automatically qualified for the tournament, which starts on the 18th January
