I think a 2016 rematch is unlikely

[4] Milos Raonic (CAN) vs [7] Bernard Tomic (AUS) – I think Raonic is making a nice return from an injury plagued 2015, but he is likely not where he was last year when he reached the Brisbane final (prior to all of the injuries).  Tomic is playing well and will enjoy some home support.

[1] Roger Federer (SUI) vs. [8] Dominic Thiem (AUT) – Roger Federer dispatched a younger one-handed backhand player.  Now, he faces a similar task against a guy who had a better 2015 than Grigor Dimitrov.  I think Federer will use his mentoring powers to continue to be the guru of one-handed backhand players on tour.
