There is no better way to spend an afternoon than watching world-class tennis live… I drove down to Key Biscayne on Tuesday, knowing that I’ll catch some Miami Open first round women’s matches and men’s and women’s final rounds of qualifiers. The official start of the tournament was the next day. Top players are usually on the practice courts pre-tournament and a ground pass ticket will be money well spent. With the lineup in my pocket and a somewhat planned itinerary I arrived at around 1 pm.
I know Crandon Park Tennis Center pretty well. I volunteered at this particular tournament in the past and I visited the site numerous times before. I walked around for a bit, grabbed a soda and sat down to watch Pramentier (FRA) vs Stollar (HUN) in the final round of qualifiers.
