Two rematches of Grand Slam showdowns from earlier this year are part of the Wednesday schedule in Paris. Roger Federer is kicking off his week against Andreas Seppi, while Kevin Anderson faces Dominic Thiem.

Federer is coming off a title at one of his favorite tournaments as he heads into second-round action at the BNP Paribas Masters on Wednesday. The 34-year-old Swiss took care of business last week in Basel, where he triumphed for the seventh time and improved his lifetime record to 61-9. Success has not been as easy to come by in Paris, where Federer is just 20-9 with one title (2011).

Up first for the No. 3 seed is a 14th career encounter with Seppi. Their most memorable meeting–and the only one that has ever gone Seppi’s way–was a 6-4, 7-6(5), 4-6, 7-6(5) upset at this year’s Australian Open. Federer, though…
