Today the ATP announced that Brit Chris Kermode will spearhead the ATP as its new  Executive Chairman & President in a three year term starting from January 1st 2014.

“It’s a huge honour to have been given the opportunity to lead the ATP during what is unquestionably one of the most exciting periods in the history of men’s professional tennis,” said Kermode. “I look forward to getting started in my new role, and to working very hard together with ATP staff, players, tournaments and partners as we look to harness the full potential of our great sport in years to come.”

So Who is he?

Kermode starting as a tennis player and has been involved in the sport for over 30 years.  His most notable role has been Tournament Director of the Aegon Championships at Queen’s Club, as well as Managing Director of the ever popular Barclays ATP World Tour…
