Predicted Winners in BOLD
Jeremy Chardy (FRA) [29] vs. David Ferrer (ESP) [3] – I saw Ferrer beat Chardy from court side at the 2009 Cincinnati Masters event. Ferrer is playing better than he was in 2009 (amazingly) so I will take Ferrer.
Denis Istomin (UZB) vs. Novak Djokovic (SRB) [2] – Istomin is a good player, but Nole is going to advance.
Tomas Berdych (CZE) [7] vs. Damir Dzumhur (BIH) – I keep picking Berdych, and he keeps winning.
Tommy Robredo (ESP) [17] vs. Richard Gasquet (FRA) [9] – I love watching both of these players. I think the younger and higher ranked player will advance, but if Gasquet is off Robredo will capitalize.
Kevin Anderson (RSA) [19] vs. Edouard Roger-Vasselin (FRA) – I think Mr. Anderson’s first round comeback has set him up for a semi-inspired run.
Fabio Fognini (ITA) [15] vs. Sam Querrey (USA) – Sam Querrey is the underdog to be sure, but I think he has more fight than Fognini.
Florian Mayer (GER) vs. Jerzy Janowicz (POL) [20] – I like Mayer a lot, but I think Jerzy has the tools to be favored here.

Dzumhur’s Bosnian fans have been really obnoxious. Dodig of Croatia was complaining about them cheering his faults, etc. When Novak was playing Leonardo, those fans were swearing at Serb fans and Nole. Some Bosnians got kicked out. After all, they came to provoke novak since they had no dog in the fight. They pulled this during a Novak/ Amer Delic match a few years ago. Amer lost of course. LOL
Won’t be long and Berdy will take him out and AO will be rid of those hooligans.
Gasquet is an idiot. 4-1 in the fourth set tiebreaker and just plays like garbage. Everyone jumped the gun way too soon with Querrey. He’s got a ways to go. Janowicz is so overrated. Mayer isn’t a terrible player.
Jerzy has a lot of work to round out his game. He has some big weapons, but … Gasquet may not be building on what he did last year and Querrey well I got blasted on twitter for picking him vs. Gulbis so I felt a bit obligated to keep picking him as I was vindicated by Sam (live by the querrey die by the querrey)
