My predictions for Indian Wells have been the worst I have ever put forth on any Masters 1000 Event so read with caution.  Hopefully, I can end the event with some good picks.

Semifinals
Roger Federer (7) vs. Alexandr Dolgopolov (28)

This match pits two players with a great deal of variety against one another.  Federer has more tactical discipline than Dolgopolov.  Young legs favor Dolgopolov.  Dolgopolov has gone a long way toward restoring the hope that he can become a top 10 player with his runner-up finish in Rio and strong showing at Indian Wells.  I see Federer winning the match by imposing his will and playing points he wants to play.  I also think Federer’s serve is more reliable than Dolgopolov’s.  In the end, I see Roger winning, 7-5, 6-3.
