Predicted Winners in BOLD
My WTA predictions at Indian Wells were dismal. I can only hide behind my pinched nerve so long though as I wade back into two matches that could easily go either way.
Na Li (2) vs. Caroline Wozniacki (11) – The Dane could easily win this match. She is a very fit athlete who will make Li hit a lot of balls. Na Li is capable of losing due to a flood of errors. I still have to pick the second seed as her play will dictate who wins and who loses this match.
Agnieszka Radwanska (3) vs. Dominika Cibulkova (10) – This is a 50-50 match. Cibulkova did dominate Radwanska in Melbourne. I doubt this will be anywhere near as one-sided. In fact, I think Radwanska froze a bit given the path she had for winning her first slam title. Still, Cibulkova is playing excellent tennis in 2014. Based on form and momentum, I am picking Cibulkova by the smallest of margins.
Given how bad my WTA picks were at Indian Wells, you may want to do the opposite.
