Roland Garros 2014 – Day 9 Women’s Predictions

Predicted Winners in BOLD

Court Philippe Chatrier

[28] Andrea Petkovic (GER) vs  [Q] Kiki Bertens (NED) – I think the qualifier keeps beating the odds.

[4] Simona Halep (ROU) vs [15] Sloane Stephens (USA) – Halep has been very impressive to this point.

Court Suzanne Lenglen

[6] Jelena Jankovic (SRB) vs. [10] Sara Errani (ITA) – JJ must be aware of what an opportunity she has to breakthrough at a slam.

[23] Lucie Safarova (CZE) vs [27] Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS) – Kuzy could become the quietest 3 time Grand Slam champion and 5 time Grand Slam finalist in history.  She already has 2 slam wins and 2 slam runner-up finishes.  That should be enough for admission to Newport and the Hall of Fame, but this would cinch it.

I’m not sure, but I think the Petko dance won this morning. 🙂

I agree with you about Sveta possibly sneaking up on the title … but do you mean “cinch” it …?

Yes I need to fix that!
