Venus Williams vs. Agnieszka Radwanska
This match only has two possible paths that I can see. The first path is that Venus Williams uses her striking power and big serve to take command of points early when both returning and serving and runs through the match quickly. The second path is that Radwanska sneaks out a point here or there with defense and starts to elicit errors from Venus. These errors begin to snowball and Radwanska wins the match.
My prediction in general would be that Radwanska is steady enough to clip Venus most of the time. However, Venus played quite well at Wimbledon and has played outstanding tennis in Montreal to this point. I think Venus wins the match in a fairly quick manner by punishing Radwanska’s serve.
My Prediction – V. Williams d. A. Radwanska 6-3, 6-2
