The Women’s Draw Has had a Lot of Upsets, but Opportunity Lurks for the Survivors

Jelena Jankovic (9) vs. Belinda Bencic – I kept doubting JJ, but she has proven me wrong so I am picking her.

Lucie Safarova (14) vs. Shuai Peng -This could go either way, but I like Safarova.

Sara Errani (13) vs. Mirjana Lucic – Lucic is playing like it is 1999 again.

Maria Sharapova (5) vs. Caroline Wozniacki (10) – MATCH OF THE DAY ALERT – If Wozniacki can make movement a factor, she will pull the upset.  I watch Sharapova vs. Ivanovic in Cincy from up close, and Sharapova is an incedible ball striker and competitor.  However, if she has to change directions her chances in a given point plummet.
