[1] Novak Djokovic (SRB) vs [6] David Ferrer (ESP) H2H 

If these two were playing Risk based on their 2015 results, Djokovic would have great strength in Australia and the US.  Ferrer would have military units stationed in Qatar, Brazil, and Mexico.  Both men have played outstanding tennis in 2015.  Ferrer holds 3 titles while Djokovic has a Grand Slam title, a Masters 1000 shield, and a runner-up finish at Dubai.  Both men know each other’s games well.  Ferrer likes the speed of the surface in Miami.  His biggest problem is lacking the weapons to truly attack Djokovic.  Ferrer can counter punch and win points versus anyone.  Djokovic is also an accomplished counter puncher, but Djokovic can also dictate play.  I expect Djokovic to try to dictate.  If plan A does not work, I expect Djokovic to try to grind out a victory.  Having two viable paths to victory gives Nole a big edge.
