[6] Rafael Nadal (ESP) vs [WC] Quentin Halys (FRA) – Nadal is 89-1 in best of 5 set matches on clay.  I think he will be 90-1 soon enough.

[1] Novak Djokovic (SRB) vs. Jarkko Nieminen (FIN) – Jarkko is a cagey lefty veteran, but he has a minimal chance vs. Nole.

[7] David Ferrer (ESP) vs Lukas Lacko (SVK) – I like Ferrer to win, but I would not be shocked if this goes 4 sets.

[20] Richard Gasquet (FRA) vs. Germain Gigounon (BEL) – I am breaking one of my own rules and picking Gasuqet.

Jérémy Chardy (FRA) vs. [Q] Michael Berrer (GER) – If Berrer gets to Chardy’s backhand, my pick will look pretty bad.

[10] Grigor Dimitrov (BUL) vs. Jack Sock (USA) – If this were a 2 of 3 set match, I might take Sock.  I think Dimitrov’s variety and greater experience in slams makes the difference in this match.

[9] Marin Cilic (CRO) vs. Robin Haase (NED) – Cilic is still looking for his 2014 magic as he comes back from injury.

[16] John Isner (USA) vs Andreas Seppi (ITA) – If Seppi takes care of his serve, this match is a 50-50 proposition.

Vasek Pospisil (CAN) vs. Joao Sousa (POR) – Sousa played well in Geneva.

[15] Kevin Anderson (RSA) vs Tim Smyczek (USA) – Clay actually helps this US player.  Anderson has not done much in 2015 so I will pick a mild upset.

James Duckworth (AUS) vs. [Q] Andrea Arnaboldi (ITA) – Qualifying should have Arnaboldi match tough for round one.

Pablo Carreño Busta (ESP) vs. Victor Estrella Burgos (DOM)

[23] Leonardo Mayer (ARG) vs Jiri Vesely (CZE) – This should be a fun match for fans with tickets.

Gilles Muller (LUX) vs. Paolo Lorenzi (ITA)

Jerzy Janowicz (POL) vs. [WC] Maxime Hamou (FRA) – Jerzy needed a friendly draw.

Nicolas Almagro (ESP) vs. Alexandr Dolgopolov (UKR) – Almagro has a great game for clay, but his mind sometimes short circuits.
