Two woman at different ends of the Grand Slam final spectrum face off at the Australian Open as top seed Serena Williams, playing her 26th major final, face first time Grand Slam Finalist and 7th seed Angelique Kerber. This match will take place on the Rod Laver Arena at 19:30 Melbourne Time (08:30 UK Time) and the winner will hold the Daphne Akhurst Trophy.

Williams has been very comfortable on her way to a seventh Australian Open final; she hasn’t dropped a set to Camila Giorgi, Su-Wei Hsieh, Daria Kasatkina, Margarita Gasparyan, 5th seed Maria Sharapova and 4th seed Agnieszka Radwanska. The American has played very well so far, and will take some beating in the final.
