Dear readers,

I did not post much last week despite some interesting events taking place.  I was gearing up for defending my doctoral dissertation (I managed to talk about tennis twice in my defense).  The great news is that I successfully defended my dissertation at the University of Dayton and am now Dan Martin, PhD.  My doctorate has nothing to do with tennis and I am not USPTA or USPTR certified, but maybe I can call myself the tennis doctor.  I will be posting more on this week’s events and other things.
