Serena Williams vs. Kiki Bertens

Serena Williams has won Roland Garros 3 times including titles in 2013 and 2015, but it has never been her easiest major.  This should give some hope to Kiki Bertens due to Serena struggling in her quarterfinal match.  Bertens is coming off of a recent singles title on clay and also has a reasonably close result versus Serena at last year’s US Open.  Believing she can beat Serena is a key to this even being competitive.  Bertens owning a winning streak and a lot of good vibes should help in that regard.  Having said all of that, if Serena plays reasonably well, moves reasonably well, and doesn’t drown in a pool of unforced errors, it is hard to see Serena not reaching another Roland Garros final.

My prediction: Serena Williams d. Kiki Bertens 7-5, 6-1
