The Clay to Grass Transition

I’ve never played tennis on a grass court, but I hope to correct that in the nearish future. The shift for professionals from clay to grass may not be as severe as it was when the speeds of the surfaces were more radically different.  Still, the footing on each surface is different.  I’ve included some videos on either this shift or on how to play on grass.

This gives a scientific look at the differences between surfaces even if it is a bit dated in terms of what it says about the pro tour in general and Andy Murray in particular.  The information on how grass court tennis was slowed down is quite good.
