Wimbledon 2016: Day 6 Ladies’ Singles Predictions

Can Kvitova and Bouchard overcome my predictions?

Predicted Winners in BOLD

For more details on some of these matches see my Day 5 Predictions

[5] Simona Halep (ROU)[26] Kiki Bertens (NED) – I think Halep will win, but she has not (yet?) become as consistent as I thought she would.

[9] Madison Keys (USA)  v Alizé Cornet (FRA) – If Keys can dictate play, she will win.

[4] Angelique Kerber (GER) v Carina Witthoeft (GER) – If Kerber can manage the pressure, she can be a top tier player for a long time.

[10] Petra Kvitova (CZE) vs Ekaterina Makarova (RUS) to finish 5-7, 0-0 – I am sticking with my original pick, but right now that seems wise.

[19] Dominika Cibulkova (SVK)  vs Eugenie Bouchard (CAN) – Bouchard has played well to this point, but I think the road ends here for the Canadian.

[3] Agnieszka Radwanska (POL) vs Katerina Siniakova (CZE) – Aga barely survived her last match.  Can she win in 2 sets on Saturday?

[28] Lucie Safarova (CZE) vs [Q] Jana Cepelova (SVK)

[18] Sloane Stephens (USA) vs [Q] Mandy Minella (LUX)  To finish 3-6,  7-6(6), 3-3 – I am sticking with my original pick again.

[11] Timea Bacsinszky (SUI) vs Monica Niculescu (ROU)  To finish 4-6, 6-2, 0-1 – Another original pick that must be maintained.

Misaki Doi (JPN) vs Anna-Lena Friedsam (GER)

Sabine Lisicki (GER) vs Yaroslava Shvedova (KAZ)
