(Q) Donna Vekic VS Ana Ivanovic – I am not sure what Ana has left.  Ivanovic is certainly the favorite, but Vekic is match tough from qualifying.

Jelena Ostapenko VS Anna Karolina Schmiedlova

Caroline Garcia VS (Q) Daria Gavrilova – This could go either way.  Daria Gavrilova was in Rio and made her way to southern Ohio long enough to win her qualifying matches.  If she is not totally worn out, I give her a slight edge.

(Q) Shuai Zhang VS Lesia Tsurenko

(Q) Saisai Zheng VS (WC) Christina McHale – I like McHale to win due to her tenacity.  We saw what she can do at Wimbledon.
