Chengdu Final

(5) Albert Ramos-Vinolas VS Karen Khachanov –H2H

Their head-to-head doesn’t give us a ton of information.  Khachanov does have an indoor win in 3 close sets, but he lost to Ramos-Vinolas in their most recent match on clay. Although that clay court match also went 3 sets, it was not a close match.  In this case, I will go with the more experienced higher ranked player.  I think Albert Ramos-Vinolas wins 7-6, 6-4.

Shenzhen Final

(1) Tomas Berdych vs. (3) Richard Gasquet – H2H

Both men have been factors in men’s tennis for roughly the same length of time.  Both have hung around in the top 10 (top 20 for Gasquet at times) without really threatening to win majors.  Gasquet has more power and is a bit more consistent in his performances over the year.  Gasquet has a more flare and perhaps a higher ceiling if he is zoning.  This is a pretty even match.  I like Gasquet slightly, but Goran in Berdych’s corner is interesting.  I think Gasquet d. Berdych 4-6, 6-3, 6-4
