Andy Murray vs. Roberto Bautista Agut
Roberto Bautista Agut has had a great week piling up quality wins and culminating in a semifinal win over world #1 Novak Djokovic. Or was that the culmination? Could he possibly beat world #2 Andy Murray and take home a Masters 1000 shield? He could, but my educated guess is that he won’t. Andy Murray leads their head-to-head series 2-0 without yet dropping a set to the Spaniard. Murray has played quite well from Masters Madrid forward. He is #2 and is closing his computer gap with Novak Djokovic in a manner that makes the final few events of the season quite important. Bautista Agut competes hard and will make Murray earn a win, but this match doesn’t seem to require a breakdown of pluses and minuses. Murray is the better player in most areas and should win.
My Prediction: Andy Murray d. Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 6-2
