Masters Miami 2017: March 25th ATP Predictions

Predicted Winners in BOLD

I would help you try to win Miami, but I think given 2006 that I deserve some paid leave due to already helping out

Saturday, March 25, 2017
Order of play

Stadium (11 a.m. start)

[1] Stan Wawrinka (SUI) vs. Horacio Zeballos (ARG) H2H – Stan’s stint as the #1 seed should last longer than 1 match.  If he keeps his error total low, I can’t see Zaballos hurting him much.

[4] Roger Federer (SUI) vs. [Q] Frances Tiafoe (USA) H2H – Federer got M-F off for travel and prep (as did Wawrinka).  I think he wins this round.

[29] Juan Martin del Potro (ARG) vs. Robin Haase (NED) H2H – JMDP could be in for a deep run in Miami.

Grandstand

[22] Sam Querrey (USA) vs. [PR] Tommy Robredo (ESP) H2H – At this stage of Robredo’s comeback, I don’t think he can be expected to topple Querrey who is clicking along in 2017.

[18] John Isner (USA) vs. [WC] Thomaz Bellucci (BRA) H2H – Isner will need to win a tiebreak set or two, but I think he will do just that.

[6] Dominic Thiem (AUT) vs. Borna Coric (CRO) H2H – This could be the match of the day.

[12] Nick Kyrgios (AUS) vs. Damir Dzumhur (BIH) H2H – Bombs away

Court 1

[27] David Ferrer (ESP) vs. Diego Schwartzman (ARG) H2H – Veteran power

[10] Tomas Berdych (CZE) vs. [WC] Andrey Rublev (RUS) H2H – See above

[16] Alexander Zverev (GER) vs. Yen-Hsun Lu (TPE)  H2H – I always get Lu’s matches wrong so I am going against what I think will happen to test a do the opposite theory out.

Court 2

[8] David Goffin (BEL) vs. [Q] Darian King (BAR) H2H

[31] Feliciano Lopez (ESP) vs. Malek Jaziri (TUN)  H2H – FLo’s results have been a little less consistent in recent months.

[14] Roberto Bautista Agut (ESP) vs. [Q] Mikhail Kukushkin (KAZ) H2H

Court 7

[24] Gilles Muller (LUX) vs. Andreas Seppi (ITA) H2H – I like both players in this 50-50 match.

[32] Paolo Lorenzi (ITA) vs. Adrian Mannarino (FRA) H2H

[17]
Ivo Karlovic (CRO) vs. Andrey Kuznetsov (RUS) H2H
