Predicted Winners in Bold
CENTRE COURT (1 p.m. start)
Venus Williams (USA) vs. Ana Konjuh (CRO) – The recent news about the wreck has to ease Venus’ mind to an extent. This is a match that could go either way, but Venus plays her best tennis on grass and has an experience edge.

No pressure on Konta …
Johanna Konta (GBR) vs. Caroline Garcia (FRA) – The 100 Years War?
No. 2 Court (11:30 a.m. start)
Angelique Kerber (GER) vs. Garbiñe Muguruza (ESP) – The past two runner-ups at Wimbledon will put on quite a show. If Muguruza attacks Kerber’s second serve well, my pick will look foolish.
Simona Halep (ROU) vs. [PR] Victoria Azarenka (BLR) – I am starting to like Halep’s chances here as the expectations game is much lower on grass than it is on clay, but her game benefits from some aspects of grass.
Svetlana Kuznetsova (RUS) vs Agnieszka Radwanska (POL) – This would not be an upset.
Caroline Wozniacki (DEN) vs Coco Vandeweghe (USA) – See above
Elina Svitolina (UKR) vs Jelena Ostapenko (LAT) – Svitolina has the ability to take more steps than she took last year at Wimbledon.
[PR] Magdalena Rybarikova (SVK) vs [Q] Petra Martic (CRO) – One of these two has a golden opportunity to crash the final four. Who will it be?

I always like to cheer for Kuznetsova, but I have Polish roots, so it probably will be Radwanska.
I like Kuznetsova too. She can win, but if she is error prone Radwanska should win the match.
