Australia needed to win the doubles point as it is likely the underdog in each of these matches.  I think Goffin on clay can weather the power Kyrgios will throw at him.  Unless Kyrgios is at peak form, the Belgian crowd and Goffin’s game will likely be too much for him.  Davis Cup can make heroes, but I think in this case Goffin on clay and at home levels to tie.

Again, the clay court and home court advantage likely tilts this match toward Belgium. Australia is in the position of only needint to win one match to win the tie.  So this is far from certain.  If Goffin has a 60% win at winning and Darcis has a 75% of winning that still makes Australia the favorite to advance.  #Math
