[1] Grigor Dimitrov (BUL) vs [4] Juan Martin del Potro (ARG) – This is the main event of the day.  Dimitrov’s 2017 has been one that saw him reach his second major semifinal, win a Masters 1000 event, and play well in a number of events.  It has also seen Dimitrov generally unable to consolidate these positive strides by becoming a constant threat to win on tour.  JMDP also reached a major semifinal in 2017 and played well last week in Shanghai.  Dimitrov has fewer injury concerns and has had some success vs. JMDP in 2017.  That gives him the nod.

European Open in Belgium

[2-WC] Jo-Wilfried Tsonga (FRA) vs [4] Diego Schwartzman (ARG) – On an indoor court, I have to favor Tsonga taking the title.  Outdoors, even on a hard court, I might pick Schwartzman.
