The Czech Republic won its 6th Fed Cup title in the previous 8 years by sweeping the United States 3-0. With Lucie Safarova’s impending reitrement, this victory had a bitter-sweet tone. Petra Kvitova is now a 2-time Wimbledon champion, an olympic bronze medalist in singles, and a 6-time Fed Cup champion. Many are in the Hall of Fame with fewer credentials so this Fed Cup adds to a potential Hall of Famer’s CV.
The Czech Republic made quick work of a depleted U.S. squad in the Fed Cup final, as Katerina Siniakova's victory on Sunday clinched a 3-0 victory https://t.co/9V064l91F6
