US Open 2020: September 5th Women’s Singles Predictions

Predicted Winner in BOLD

Arthur Ashe Stadium (Noon start)

[3] Serena Williams (USA) vs. [26] Sloane Stephens (USA) – This is really hard to pick and on paper I think Serena wins, but my gut says the COVID-19 break helped Sloane Stephens hit reset.

[7] Madison Keys (USA) vs Alizé Cornet (FRA) – Cornet is one of the most difficult players to eliminate at majors, but I think if Keys keeps her mental game in order she wins in 2 close sets.

Louis Armstrong Stadium (11 a.m. start)

[15] Maria Sakkari (GRE) vs [22] Amanda Anisimova (USA) – Νικητής

Victoria Azarenka (BLR) vs. Iga Swiatek (POL) – Vika rising!

[2] Sofia Kenin (USA) vs. [27] Ons Jabeur (TUN)

Court 5

[18] Donna Vekic (CRO) vs [PR] Tsvetana Pironkova (BUL) – This is a 50-50 match.

Court 11

[16] Elise Mertens (BEL) vs Caty McNally (USA)

Court 7

[20] Karolina Muchova (CZE) vs Sorana Cirstea (ROU) – Cirstea’s streak continues?
