T. Pironkova vs. 3 S. Williams  – Pironkova has had a storybook US Open, but all stories have a final page.  Serena has passed two tough tests.  I think she wins this one in two tight sets instead of 3.

V. Azarenka vs. 16 E. Mertens – These two have a ton of momentum, but I will go with experience for the win.

10 A. Rublev vs. 3 D. Medvedev – The battle of Russia could determine a lot.  Rublev was my darkhorse, but Medvedev was my form horse.  The winner here may take the crown. 

21 A. De Minaur vs. 2 D. Thiem – Thiem having reached three major finals makes me think he will know how to win this match against an incredibly solid defensive player.
