Masters Canada: Semifinal Predictions August 10

Predicted Winners in BOLD

Sorry that I could not post yesterday

Semifinals

Milos Raonic (11) vs. Vasek Pospisil – One Canadian to Rule them all … Both men have played well this week, and a Canadian winning here would break a long streak.  I am picking Milos as he has more experience in late rounds.

Novak Djokovic (1) vs. Rafael Nadal (4) – The race for #1 in 2013 could be close to over if Rafa wins in Montreal.  Rafa broke Nole’s heart in Paris.  I think that alone forges an iron will in Nole who takes the match.

  1. nadal has only 2000 points from GS in the last year. However, if he wins this title he will have deccent shot at number one presuming he performs ok from there on out and actually plays the WTF. In fact Nadal Djoko and Murray could go into WTF all with the chance to be 1. Wouldn’t that be cool!

I agree! Rafa already has 3600 points from the Masters 1000 events this year. If he gets to 4600 in Montreal, plus 2000 from RG and 500 from Barcelona, 250 from Brazil, 500 from Acapulco and he’s in a great spot. Nole can get 2000+ from Montreal & Monte Carlo and add 500 from Dubai and his 3200 from Melbourne and London. So a lot is on the line in terms of points.
