No. 3 seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland joined the growing list of casualties at the French Open on Friday. The 25-year-old succumbed to a younger, and fearless, opponent, No. 72-ranked Ajla Tomljanovic. The Croatian rising star has made the biggest leap in the WTA rankings since the start of 2013, but had yet to post a win over a top 20 player prior to taking on Radwanska.
Two breaks, and a load of confidence, was all it took for Tomljanovic to take control of the match. With the recent success of other competitors her age, there was no doubt that Tomljanovic would go all in to construct another upset of the tournament.
